Georgina Docherty 'Miss George' grew up in the rolling hills of the Shropshire countryside in the UK.


Influenced by artists such as Nina Simone, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles and Eva Cassidy, her performances stretch across many musical genres including jazz, blues, soul and traditional music. 

She found her Voice from an early age, was classically trained and left the UK at the age of 19 with a passion to travel and sing.


This love of travel led her to the UAE where she worked as a resident artist in many 5 star hotels, including performing at the Intercontinental Hotel in Al-Ain six nights per week and then on to the Hilton, Intercontinental, Royal Mirage, Hyatt and Dusit Hotel, Dubai.

Since moving to Australia, Georgina has continued performing at many high profile events including at MONA, Hobart as well as the Arts Centre, Crown Palladium, AAMI Park and Ormond Hall in Melbourne. In 2019, she performed a monthly sold out jazz shows with pianist Joe Ruberto. 

With a strong commitment to community Georgina can be found each week at 9.30am Mass at The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hawthorn as a 'Contemporary Cantor' where she has led the community choir for the past 10 years. She performs regularly as a jazz singer and is often available for private events and ceremonies.


Georgina also has a particular interest in foreign language songs and can sing in Portuguese, French, Italian, latin and Spanish.
